Pinky’s tours will be glad to help you make reservations for accommodations for the times when we are transporting you. Very often, we can find very good quality rooms at hotels at prices considerably lower than strangers to our country can find. For example, prices offered on the Internet are often higher than we can negotiate.
As well, more times than not, we are aware of hotels which either do not advertise on the Internet (or in many cases, don’t advertise very much at all) yet are beautiful and very reasonably priced. Of course, if you are looking for five-star accommodation, we can arrange that as well. Often, we can get perhaps a 10% to 20% lower price than is offered by the hotel when they speak directly to the client or on the Internet.
Similarly, since we have good relations with a number of hotels, including a major international chain, they are often prepared to give our clients a discount.
ALSO: If you are staying at, for example, the Best Western Hotel Irazu (near San Jose) we give a 10% discount on the first day’s charges for a tour starting from there.
If you want to visit “tourist traps” to buy souvenirs, we will be happy to negotiate with the vendors to get you as much off the asking price as is possible. Or, if you want something like a whole bunch of great Costa Rican coffee, we will take you to a market where you can buy coffee beans in bulk, as the Costa Ricans do. Instead of paying the ridiculous prices charged for the pretty wrapping on the “export” coffee - coffee which we think is not nearly as good - you can get the real thing at perhaps half the price!.
End up with a couple of extra days without something planned because what you had planned to do has fallen through? Ask us! We are always discovering new places to go and do things to do.
